Blog Entry 5/11/12:

The glass guy is always the last one to put glass in his own house; funny since I know a guy. Five years ago we moved into a new house; which had a large picture window and it was starting to fail. You could see a little milky white color in the corner and moisture starting to gather between the panes. This window is in my bedroom, a window I looked through every day, but I never got around to fixing it. Fast forward five years and it was now completely white and I could no longer see through it to the backyard. Time to get some new glass. Good thing I know the phone number to a good glass shop that could help me. I had to measure the glass unit that was failed, have new insulated glass fabricated, and then exchange the glass in the window sash; really not that difficult and something we do everyday. So I did it! The glass guy finally got new glass. This window was so failed I no longer had any insulating features. Now my new, clear window glass blocks the air and noise out; why did I wait so long?!

Our new look:

We are updating our showroom and now show one of our most popular enclosures: the Agalite Accent Series semi-frameless door with in-line panel and 90 degree return panel.

We are also showing the new design: Cardinal Skyline. This European inspired beauty has an industrial look with sleek lines, smooth rollers, and minimal hardware. It utilizes heavy 3/8″ glass and stainless steel hardware.

Blog Update: 12/16/11 -The Amazing Amaz!

We live in the Heartland, the Crossroads of America, and we have hard water around these parts. Lets see…. you live in your house, clean your shower, just a little less often than you should, it starts to look dirty all the time and you can’t get the white grime off the glass. You hire a contractor to change out the shower, which leads to an entire bathroom remodel, but really it is just that dirty glass you cannot get clean that you can’t stand.

There are two approaches here. You can take the easier route and if you have not etched the glass with soap and hard water mineral build up then watch the wonderful work of Amaz Water Stain Remover. It will bring that glass back to clear view quality. It will also remove hard water spots from your faucets, counters, etc. It’s non-caustic, and it’s the wonder paste.

Second approach when you are looking at the open shower stall with brand new tile is to go back in with beautiful clear glass…treated with Guardian ShowerGuard, because remember, we do live in Indiana with that hard water. It has a LIFETIME warranty and this stuff is that good. You still need to squeegee the glass to prevent the water spots, but if you just occasionally forget to do that, or can’t get the man in your life to remember to use the squeegee, the glass will come clean. May take a little hard work and half a day, but you’ll be staring at that new pretty tile through clear glass again.
